THIS YEAR'S WORKSHOP WILL FLY DIRECTLY TO MARGARITA ISLAND

Come with me for 8 days in VENEZUELA
THIS WINTER (EARLY JANUARY 2008)
Scenic and glamour workshop in the most beautiful place of all the Caribbean, Margarita Island!

This workshop is intensive. All participants will fly to Caracas, where the group will meet before flying onto Margarita Island for a limousine transfer to the resort. Next morning our first shoot will take us to a fishermen’s village for a couple of hours of supervised shooting under the watchful eye of Jean-Francois O’Kane!
Each day will bring you an average of 5 hours of photo activities. We recomend that you take advantage of the "all meals and drinks included package" available at the Flamenco resort where we establish our base..
Saturday is a beach portrait and glamour shoot, where male and female models will be available. Reflectors and diffusers will be supplied courtesy of Booth Photographic! Equipment will be demonstrated and loaned to you, just to give it a try... Some of the models will be with us on all of our photo trips, to add a glamourous touch to the most wonderful landscape in the world.

Schedule of the shootout ( 4½ photo days will be offered)
Exact date to be announced ( as soon as we know the dates for the plane, should be in the first week of january 2008):

Travel to Margarita, and transfer to the resort.

• Day1:All day Historic visit to Margarita’s capital La Asuncion. The Virgin of the Valley Church, Laguardia Bay, Juan Griego fort and many more shoots.
• Day2: Cactus, sand dunes, sea side and model shoots
• Day3: Shooting real people, visit to small village, kids and fishermen, tour the southern side of the island.
• Day4: All day fashion and figure shoot in an old hacienda (country house)
• Day off : We suggest that at least one day you sleep late or go shoot the sunrise or get these sea shells that you promised your kids or girlfriend. PM To Porlamar for shopping and touring.
• optional day may replace another day at the groups request : La Restinga Nationl Park, a boat ride among canals filled with extravagant vegetation and animal life. We will also spend time in a bird and wildlife refuge.
• Last day : 5 "Assingments challenge": a photo type treasure hunt. To keep you looking around while applying the techniques you have learned and farewell dinner and review.

This activity is reserved for a maximum of 6 photographers, so counseling and personal attention will be more available. Jean-Francois has organized these tours for 6 years and participants were very pleased with the experience. Jean-Francois knows Venezuela and is fluent in Spanish, French and English. All transportation will be in an air-conditionned Mercedez-Benz minibus or in all-terrain open-roof Jeep. Soft drinks, water and beer will be available at any time.

The price is as follow:

-Instruction, model fees and tour fees 1980.00$can.

-Each participant is responsable for his/her air fare to Margarita Island, Venezuela and accomadation ( we will be based a the Flamenco resort.

-Non photographers are more than welcome! There will be a $100USD administration fee and they are responsable for their own expenses. You can save about $200.USD on hotel! If they wish to accompany us on a day trip, the transportation value of this day will be charged.
